Hundreds flee to Vera Cruz aboard trains, seeking protection under US warships. British and French officials warn nationals as tensions rise and movements on rail lines threaten escape routes.
Secretary Bryan conferred with President Wilson about latest Mexican events after receiving messages from Charge O Shaughnessy. Officials note Huerta faced pressure as Constitutionalists gain ground and foreign governments apply leverage. Washington favors patient waiting before decisive moves.
Zion City leader Overseer Wilburn Glenn Voliva launched a proselytizing drive in Galesburg Illinois with sixteen Zion white robed choir singers and Apostles F M Royal and BE Cary joining the trip. Plans include using pictures of Zion City activities to spread the message across the United States and beyond to China and Australia.

In Juarez two former Federal officers Pablo Bbave police official and Juan Cordova secret police chief were shot at the Juarez Cemetery by a firing squad. Mrs Bhprer-witt pleaded for pardon but Villa refused. Rebels say more executions will follow and regular troops may be pardoned. Carranza may move rebel headquarters from Sonora to Juarez soon.
Corneliue Schip of Robey Indiana visited Angelo Buscio's saloon and accepted a cup labeled hot wine. The bartender offered hot stuff as a disinfectant by mistake. Schip drank it and died within minutes. the bartender survived after being treated with saltwater.
Everett Fowler of Kingston, indicted for extortion related to campaign contributions, plans to tell District Attorney Whitman the full story. The anticipated testimony is described as sensational and could detail how state highway contractors were pressured to contribute.

In Ann Arbor on November 16 a violent disturbance followed a Penn game victory. Three university students and two others were arrested and jailed, as a mob stormed the county jail and shattered windows. Sheriff’s measures soon quelled the scene and the detainees were released after midnight. Witnesses said some arrestees were innocent.
Chicago November 16 Reverend L M Birkhead spoke on the eugenic movement praising its sensible features in a Wagoner Memorial sermon. He cautioned against marriages based on wealth or title, saying such unions often involve the unfit and harm society.
