Kentuckians pick up the pieces after latest tornado
In Barnsley Kentucky Devin Johnson 21 watches workers clear the wreckage of the trailer he shared with grandparents and a girlfriend. The town suffered a Sunday tornado packing 266 kmh winds, part of a statewide outbreak that killed five and prompted a state of emergency. Johnson’s family, three-time storm survivors, lost most belongings and face a long rebuild, planning to move to Madisonville while staying with relatives. Johnson recalls the 2021 event that destroyed their home and left them with few keepsakes, including a cherished statue and photos.
