Largest wildfire in Ontari o history held at last
The Red Lake 12 fire, northwest of Kenora near the Manitoba border, is now designated as being held. It began in early June and forced evacuations from Sandy Lake First Nation and Deer Lake First Nation, which began returning as flights resumed. 18 firefighting crews remain with seven helicopters supporting containment and hotspot suppression along the southern and eastern perimeter.

Woman charged with 30 counts of theft in Thunder Bay
A 33 year old woman is charged with 30 counts of theft under 5000 dollars after a series of thefts from a Main Street business dating back six months. Police say the Break and Enter and Robbery Unit arrested the suspect after linking her to the incidents.
