Memorial Day Exercises Honored Veterans in Choteau

A large crowd gathered in Choteau for Memorial Day observances led by the Red Cross ladies. The program featured a parade of students and the Junior Red Cross, music by the Choteau band and Community Chorus, and speeches by County Treasurer A. B. Guthrie and F. C. Upton of Minot. Guthrie spoke on liberty, duty, and wartime sacrifices. Upton shared front line impressions from Europe. The day concluded with the Star Spangled Banner, a benediction, and taps, marking a fitting tribute in Teton county.
