Cut Bank Leads In County Sunday School Contest
February 20 marked the start with Chateau totaling 229 attendees across both town schools. Cut Bank logged 110, up about 85 percent, while Conrad reported 86 in one entered school. By February 27 Chateau reached 205, a 42 percent rise, and Cut Bank had 104, near a 75 percent gain. Some towns like Valier and Bynum have not reported. Weather affected attendance as the contest progresses.

Large Increase in City Income Tax Expected
New York officials predicted about 30 000 individuals and 18 000 to 20 000 corporations would pay the second internal revenue income tax this year as returns near the midnight deadline.
