Walla Walla reports say Washington State Grange failed to find a meeting place due to ties with the Non Partisan League. Colorado notices say league organizers were run out of towns and had to return $16 membership fees. Oregon reports a 25 to 1 vote in Salem to sever all League affiliations. The piece labels the league as a socialist driven farmers group with opportunistic leaders, linking it to I W W cases in Chicago and warning farmers away. Tomato plants for sale offered by E Hodgskiss at Chateau house or ranch by phone.
On June 14 Agawam Red Cross sent to Chateau a relief bundle including 31 bed shirts 17 pairs of socks 10 dish towels 12 dish cloths 2 linen towels 3 fracture pillows and Afghan and comfort pillow and pillows donated by residents. At a June 26 meeting attendees listed include Mesdames Reed Schaefer Deranteau Angell Whitacre Collins Pinnell Doyle Simons Wilson and Misses Gemar Pinnell Nelson Krebs Whitacre Derkson Simmons. Nineteen shirts and three pairs of socks had been turned in since the June 14 shipment.
