Troubles in NP League Camp Snowball into Bank Charge Row
J W Brinton and J R Waters, formerly prominent in the nonpartisan league, face fierce criticism from league leaders. Brinton accuses the Bank of North Dakota of misusing state funds and external loans while Lemke seeks high pay and control. Waters alleges a forged resignation letter and questions his signature amid broader allegations of political use of bank power.

Government Rejects All Bids For Tribal Herd
The United States Indian service failed to accept the highest bids for the Blackfeet cattle herd at public auction, with steers at 56 dollars and cows at 60. The herd, a traditional source of employment and revenue for full blood Blackfeet, will be disposed of before winter by private sale or market due to limited tribal range after land allotments. Governor Cox says ratification of the League Covenant is needed to honor the service members who served overseas.
