Suspect Captured After Antler Bar Heist in Chateau List
Teton County Sheriff Albert Becker and Deputy Howard Cunningham captured James Burt Dieziger in Havre, tied to the Antler Bar robbery at Chateau on Sept. 13 and a subsequent High Ball Lounge holdup. Dieziger faced armed robbery charges, fled to Portland, bought a car, and was found with a gun in Havre. Keeley, 53, of Great Falls, remained jailed on check fraud charges.

Driver Fined 220 After Weekend Two Car Crash
A Sunday afternoon two car crash 40 miles north of Power caused about 800 dollars in damage. Henry Bell 58 Power drove a 1962 Ford on the wrong side to meet Lucille Seven 18 Power in a 1962 Chevrolet. Bell pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and no license and was fined 220 dollars. Lois Seven was a passenger in the Seven car.

Choteau firefighters answered three calls in recent weeks with no serious damage. A grass fire near Dale Saunders’ home across Spring Creek was confined to a small area. A second blaze near Chateau Sheet Metal was out on arrival. Albert Abbott Dies in Chateau at 83
Albert Lee Abbott 83 died Tuesday at Teton Memorial Hospital in Chateau. Funeral services are Saturday at 2 pm at the First United Presbyterian Church in Conrad with burial in Conrad Cemetery. He was born April 14, 1888 in Ione Oregon and married Mary Barr in 1911. The couple farmed and dairied in Conrad until 1947 then moved to Chateau two months ago. Abbott held Masonic and Eastern Star memberships, served 30 years as Pondera County election judge, chaired the ration board in World War II, and helped found the PCA. Survivors: Mary, a son Chester of Chateau, a daughter Hazel Hillius of Cut Bank, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
