Choteau Man Uses Roof Camera for Geophysical Year Study
John Robison of Choteau plans an 18 month study of the Aurora Borealis and the universe as part of the International Geophysical Year. He will photograph his observations from a roof mounted camera, a 50 pound Alaska University designed instrument, to aid global weather and scientific research.

Scout fund drive to start in eight northwest Montana towns

Rainbow Trout Planting Tallies For Summer In Chateau Area
Lowell Meyers of the Teton Sportsmen's Association says a large number of rainbow trout were planted in Chateau area lakes and rivers during the summer. Pishkun reservoir received 300,000 two percent inch rainbows, Eureka Lake 20,000 two and a half inch fish and 20,000 six inch rainbows, Deep Creek 1,800 eight to ten inch rainbows, Spring Creek 1,800 rainbows, and the Teton River 3,600 legal-sized rainbows. No more plants are scheduled this year.

Under the feed wheat exemption producers with less than 30 acres may grow up to 30 acres of wheat for farm use without marketing quota penalties. Sign-up ends Friday October 4.
