Choteau Commercial Club Elects McGregor President

A short Choteau Commercial Club meeting elected Dr H J McGregor president to fill the vacancy from B S Merritt. The group planned lyceum course arrangements with tickets set to go on sale next Thursday October 3. A committee led by Phil I Cole, Jom Eckford and M C Dietrich will oversee the course.

Prisoner Jesse Gleason Safely Through War Fronts

Paris dispatch reports Jesse Gleason, in active fighting since American offensive began, has come through without a scratch and sends a hopeful cablegram to his relatives. He mentions thirty prisoners and asserts his safety and credit amid the fighting.

Local Board Sends Several Men to Military Stations

Leo McCaffery of Fairfield was sent to Camp Lewis on Wednesday. Harry F. Benzon of Conrad was sent to Fort McDowell California on Tuesday. Benson will be employed as court reporter in judge advocate work. Ashton S. Stillman was sent to Boulder Colorado to enter the mechanical school. Questionnaires for ages 19 to 87 are being mailed to registrants this week and all will be sent by Saturday, September 28. Recruits for marine corps and navy will be filled the same as for the army.

Government Printing Office Rules Change for Subscriptions
