Sterilize Milk Utensils to Prevent Ropy Milk
Montanas State college extension dairy expert J O Tretsven says ropy milk results from bacteria after milking. Thorough cleaning of dairy rooms, sterilization of utensils, udder washing, pasteurization at 145 F for 30 minutes, and rapid cooling to 50 F or below prevent ropiness and keep milk normal. He notes ropy milk differs from garget or mastitis.

Canadian Rail Rates Compared The Great Northern Versus Canada
The Canadian government subsidizes its railways to grant lower grain rates to settlers in western Canada, paying subsidies and providing land and tax concessions to a privately owned line while the Great Northern in the United States bears heavier taxes and receives no subsidies. If GN taxes matched Canadian levels with any savings passed to farmers, wheat rates could fall to less than half.
