Winter Wheat Insurance Deadline Nears in Montana County
One week remains for Teton county farmers to obtain winter wheat crop insurance protection. W H Wellenstein, chairman of the county agricultural conservation committee, urges wheat growers to contact the county AAA office to file an application and complete the insurance contract. Coverage begins once planting starts and runs until harvest, with at least 75 percent of normal production guaranteed. Applications must be filed by September 30. Premiums may be paid in wheat or cash value, with advance benefit payments possible under the program.

W H Wellenstein explains that compliance payments for soil depleting acreage allotments will be one dollar five cents per acre with a seven dollar sixty nine cent per acre deduction for partial performance or excess seeding.
