Miss Roda Tappin of Pasadena is visiting in Pendroy with Sorenson and Reid at the ranch. Mrs. O C Durland is in Great Falls for a checkup. The community hosted meals and birthday gatherings at several homes, with Glacier Park day trips and harvest help noted.
Reverend Russell Scheidler pastor of S Johns Parish Fairfield Power and Dutton will be on vacation until about October 15. Services will be held as usual on the regular schedule and published weekly in the paper.
The City Clerk of Chateau Montana invites bids for a 500 GPM triple combination pumping engine with a 100 HP gasoline motor and bronze pump body. Specifications call for a 1 1/2 ton chassis with 158 inch wheelbase, hardwood floor, 1000 feet of 2 1/2 inch hose, ladder and tool equipment, water tank, anti freeze cooler, and fire underwriters test. Bids due by 5 PM September 29 1945 with rights reserved to reject any bid.
Albert Petri has returned from the Pacific and helped his brother for two weeks. A large attendance celebrated a birthday for Mrs. Joe Torgerson and Mrs. Paul Kropp at a ranch home Sunday evening with many relatives from Galata Glasgow Dupuyer Chateau Missoula and other local towns. Clyde Robinson left for Ft Douglas and others planned trips to Denton and Lewis Town. H D Club meeting set for September 27.
The families of Mrs. Hugo Hirshberg Mrs. Martha Trainer and Mrs. Cleon Shay express gratitude to friends and neighbors for kind deeds during illness and death of our husband and father. Special thanks to those who sent flowers furnished music ears served as pallbearers and offered other favors.
