Funeral services held for R. H. Mayer longtime Collins rancher
Funeral services were held in Great Falls on Wednesday for R H Mayer, a long-time Collins rancher who died at his home Friday. Mayer, born June 18, 1877 in Adair County Iowa, married Glen Valera Mayer in 1902 and had two children, Robert who died in infancy and Geraldine Harkins of Collins. He moved from Auguste to Collins in 1915 to farm sheep and fruit trees, and was a member of Christian Science Church of Cheat Falls, Masonic Lodge Dutton, and Scottish Rite and White Shrine of Great Falls. Survived by wife Glen, daughter Geraldine, sister Carrie Hawley of Des Moines, brother Anne Mayer of Winterset, and several nephews and nieces. Final rites at Great Falls Mausoleum with Christian Science reader. entombment by Dutton Lodge No 125 AF and AM.

Former editor Mr. Max B. Bishop of Elkader Iowa toured Choteau with Mrs Bishop en route from Havre.
