Golf Tournament Set for Sunday at Chateau Course
The annual city golf tournament will be held Sunday, Sept. 12 at the Chateau golf course. Open to all club members, men and women. Registration at 12:30 p.m. tee-off around 1 p.m. Two rounds determine flight winners. A bring your own steak fry follows, with the committee providing the rest of the meal.

CHS Girls Basketball Sets Fresh Team Roster and Schedule
Coach Lee Reynolds reports 24 girls auditioned for CHS basketball including four seniors Jacque Jensen Susie Linville Dru Nordhagen and Laura Stott plus JoAnn Walker Carol Austin and others. Season opener is Sept 17 at home against Centerville with a return the next day. Fish and Game Buys Ward Sibley Ranch West of Choteau
The Montana Fish and Game Commission bought over 2500 acres at the foot of Ear Mountain along the Rockies east slope. Director Wesley Woodgerd announced the $100 per acre purchase mainly for big game habitat including mule deer elk bighorn sheep mountain goats and grizzlies. The land provides access to eastern Forest lands and will be open for hunting and other recreation during seasons.
