The article recalls the Berthold aftermath where Sioux bodies lay after a battle and a trader received gold from Bees. It notes about 40000 in dust recovered, with larger sums hidden in stanchions, reportedly exciting investigators in 1886 and prompting questions if the treasure boat is still buried in Burnt Creek bar.
