A serious Monday accident on the Choteau Collins road near Gamble’s ranch involved a Hodlegskiss Halladay with W. A. Emerick Paul Anderson and John and Mike Martinson. The car left the grade after the bridge overturned and burned, trapping Emerick who was thrown into deep water but survived. The others escaped unharmed.

The Republican state convention chose W. J. Paul of Deer Lodge as attorney general candidate. The ticket aims for young, clean, aggressive, progressive leaders to advance good government. Paul, born in Laurel Iowa, is 35 years old.

Chateau friends hope for a speedy recovery. nation suits draw crowds to Great Falls on Tuesday with P. I. Cole and wife, Assistant Engineer Amburn, State Senator Larson, C. W. Wymer, and Wm. Hedgskiss among attendees.
Managing Editor Smith of the Nashville Tennessean spent several days in Choteau late in the week. He visited J. B. Malmio and is an old college friend of Bradley and Hospers who are connected with Breckhoff ranch company. He plans to go to Portland to see his mother and has broad experience in newspaper work.
