Space Science Program Set At High School

Wheat Diversion Payments Outlined By Officials
Lyall Schaefer, chairman of the county ASC, outlined the 1963 wheat stabilization plan including diversion payments and price supports under the new farm law signed by Kennedy. Eligible growers reduce acreage by 20 percent and divert to approved conservation uses to receive payments based on yield. 18 cent per bushel payments apply to those in the diversion program, with usual price-support loans and purchase agreements available for compliant farmers.
