State highway commission funds scarifying project on Chateau Bynum
The State Highway Commission will scarify and re surface the Chateau Bynum gravel highway at a cost to Teton county not exceeding 50 dollars per mile. Engineer H O Beale says the method uses existing road material and reduces crown hump with minimal expense, with labor borne by the county and actual machine work covered by the commission. The work, already underway east of Fairfield, may extend from the south county line to Chateau next summer.

Paralysis Stroke Fatal to Aged Fairfield Rancher
Albert Young a 70 year old Fairfield area rancher died after a paralytic stroke suffered days earlier. He lived alone on his ranch and was found on the cabin floor by a neighbor. Funeral services were held at Chateau cemetery with Rev. Robert B. Culbertson officiating. He is survived by a wife and daughter in Iowa and a son guiding an eastern hunting party in the Rockies.
