Dr Anna Bel Smith aged 66 of Great Falls died in a Denver hospital after a life that spanned Nebraska to Chateau and Wilmington. The Montana Supreme Court has taken under advisement a motion in the murder trial of Frank R. Dryman of Vallejo California. The case concerns whether venue should be moved from Toole County to a nonadjacent county. Dryman was convicted and sentenced to hang twice for the 1951 murder of Four Corners cafe owner Clarence Pellett. appeals have so far saved him from execution.
