State seed wheat price delay blocks Montana program
The Montana seed stocks committee says a price and financing plan from the federal government are needed before distributing spring seed. About 1,000,000 bushels are on hand in Great Falls and car lots are being sold at government prices. Seed must reach farmers by March and delays risk seed leaving the state. Sam Sloan chairs the committee.
