The residence of d. k. ferris on burton beach burned Sunday evening around seven. Mrs ferris and two young children were home but could not save the building as flames consumed house and contents. Mrs ferris saved some papers as neighbors were distant and aid arrived late. Ferris carried insurance on the property.
