Thanksgiving gatherings across towns brighten holiday weekend
Families shared meals and thanks across Montana communities on Thanksgiving Day. Readers note visits to Power, Great Falls, Chateau, Dutton, Fairfield, and other towns as relatives traveled or stayed close to home amid mild celebratory weather and near zero temperatures. Several local socials and church services complemented family dinners, with travel limited by the cold but spirits high.
Thanksgiving Day Observed by Local Families
Recent Sunday visitors included the Al zheimer and Munson households from Great Falls and Chateau. The Ed Schillings began a quonset on their farm while neighbors poured a cement foundation for a new machine shop. Eddie Alzheimer drills a well for Clark Inbody and several Copenhavers visited the Edwards home with Fred Galahan from Brady. The Ralph Caskeys bought Chateau lots to build next year, and E R McLean and family traveled east visiting Camden Milwaukee Philadelphia Flushing Atlantic City. Mrs Henry Bremer and Lee Revear planned Mayo Clinic checks in Rochester. Marie Averill’s home work progresses plastering done and flooring underway. Thanksgiving day was the usual activity.
