The junior and senior choirs of Trinity Lutheran church will present a Christmas concert at 7 45 p m this Sunday Dec 10. No admission will be charged and the public is invited. The program includes solos duets and community carols with two organists and a pianist. Marge Hanusa directs the senior choir Janet Wedum the junior choir. Flora Hileen Graham is pianist.

Sala Returns To States From Battle Zone
Cpl. Dean Sala of Choteau after a Tokyo and Oakland transfer is hospitalized in Oakland, then Corpus Christi Texas for four months. He expects to return to Choteau in April and resume work for Breen Oil Co. He was wounded near Seoul on Sept 26 with machine gun fire, had leg grafts and arm injuries, and has a 37 pound hip cast.

PMA Urges Farmers to File Performance Reports by Dec 15

Defense Director JoE Anderson of Choteau, a World War II veteran and former first lieutenant with the 82nd Airborne, was appointed by Mayor K. E. Frosted wheat germination study shows variable results
Canada tests on 600 wheat lots found 48 percent frost injured while non frost samples averaged 83 percent germination. Frosted samples averaged 78 percent germination, with ranges from six to 98 percent. Many frosted seeds germinated well, but 19 percent fell below 75 percent. May Thompson Services Held Here Tuesday
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Chateau for Mrs. Wintha May B. Thompson formerly of the Burton bench community who died last Friday in a Great Falls hospital. The Rev. Harold L. Engdahl officiated with pallbearers Lambert Torn Charles Baker Ben Chalmers Glen Inbody Rolland Ferris and Guy Kale. Burial was in Chateau cemetery beside her husband. Born April 14 1877 at Cooning Ta she came to Teton county in 1901 to teach on the Farmington bench. She married Harry R. Thompson in 1903 and they lived on the Burton bench until his death in 1935. She was active in the Equity Auxiliary Home Demonstration club 4 H club Old Timers Sunday school and Farmington W C T U and helped start Teton's Own Chautauqua. In 1939 she broadcast on KFBB about county extension work at the 25th anniversary. Survivors include two sons Harry B. Thompson Powell Wyoming and Frank G. Thompson Sacramento Calif three daughters Veda Glassey Spokane Lola B. Crane Mario Park Calif and Florence M. Murray Great Falls a sister Christy Casker Collins and a brother Willis Brokaw Des Moines Ind. Relatives from a distance attended from Yellowstone Park Wy Art Davidson Power and from Great Falls Thomas M. Thompson Art Davidson Martin Hansen Rod Hanson.
