Funeral services for Wm. Cowgill 83 Teton county pioneer were held at the Methodist church with Rev. Bert A. Powell and Choteau lodge No. 44 A F and A M in charge. Out of town mourners included Mr. and Mrs. W J Dorington Conrad and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Leach Walier. Family tributes followed at the Choteau cemetery. Cowgill served on the county board and as state senator and helped organize the local high school board.

James Winstanley, Choteau Resident, Dies at 72
James Winstanley 72 longtime Choteau resident died November 20 at Choteau hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held last Friday at 4 p.m. from Banks Funeral Home chapel. Born May 1 1873 in Ashton Lancashire England he migrated to the United States many years ago. He remained unmarried and lived at the Beaupre hotel in recent years, known for quiet unobtrusive nature and ranch work as his lifelong occupation. Mrs J W Ward Vincent Ward's mother is his sister.

B. Grandal and Mrs. W. A. Irwin. Pallbearers included C. H. Porter Earl Yeager G. B. Ziegler C. W. Burns George Thompson and Millard Bullerdick. Interment followed at the Chateaux cemetery. Born August 14 1858 in Long Grove Illinois. Continued next week.

Teton Bulldogs Open Season With Weekend Road Trip

The remains of Roy Anderson, prominent Choteau businessman, were held Saturday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. A Bernard Gravdal officiated, with pallbearers John Richem Oscar Richem J Burr Huffman George Thompson C W Burns and Alvin Reiquam. Special music by Rev Gravdal and others, with Mrs Gravdal soloing In the Garden. The Legion post and Chas Dahlin paid tributes at the grave.

The groom's parents Mr and Mrs Gus Thompson announced the wedding and Kenneth flew from Chateau to California after visiting relatives and friends.
