Former county assessor Otto Wagnild of Chateau remains in critical condition at Falls Hospital in Columbus Great Falls after nasal hemorrhages. He suffered multiple attacks starting Saturday evening and was moved to hospital by Dick Reiding. Surgeons delayed operating but his condition is not worsening and a planned operation may occur in about two weeks.
The Montana Unemployment Compensation Commission seeks to account for 175 uncashed checks totaling 1,727 dollars sent since July 1989. Chairman Barclay Craighead says reminders will be sent quarterly and uncashed after one year will be cancelled.
