Local Women Win Prizes in National Fishing Contest
Mrs H T Redmond and Mrs Har old Peterson won prizes in a national fishing contest sponsored by a Denver concerns. Redmond placed 23rd and 31st with rainbow catches of 9 lb 18 oz and 8 lb 14 oz earning two pairs of boats while Peterson finished 19th with a 10 lb 5 oz rainbow using worms at Eureka lake. The contest offered 2 000 prizes nationwide.

Former Priest Injured in Sunday Car Crash
The Rev. Edward McGowan, formerly a parish priest here, was injured in a Sunday evening crash on the Butte Anaconda road. Joseph Gillis, 30, owner and driver of the car, died of injuries. McGowan suffered face and leg lacerations and is now confined to St. Ignatius in Butte.

Otto Wagnild Home from Falls Hospital
Otto Wagnild returned home from the Columbus hospital in Great Falls Tuesday night after a week and a half of treatment for an ulcerated nasal artery causing severe hemorrhages. He remains weak and bedridden but is improving and not expected to return to work until after the new year.
