Winkler and Son report Porter A-1 on the Pendroy farmout producing over 100 barrels of gas cut oil in four hours. Nearby, Phillips Hoeschen No 1 pumps 55 barrels per day, Colegrove No 1 swabs 45 barrels, DuBois No 3 yields 60 barrels, and Big West drills on the DuBois with 900 feet to date. Most other tests show smaller or dry results as field activity expands.

Old Timers Banquet Set by Teton County Residents
The Old Timers will hold their annual dinner and dance on Thursday November 20. Old time residents of Montana who are at least 51 years old and have 30 years of residency with 25 years in the county may apply for membership. The Methodist church ladies will serve the dinner with Mrs Carrie Bagley as chairman.

Last Rites for Taylor Held Here Last Friday
Funeral services for L. E. Taylor were held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist church with Rev. Grant Moore officiating. Masonic lodge conducted graveside rites. Marion Averill provided music for the men's quartet including Rev. A. B. Grandal and three others. Pallbearers included C. G. Passmore and Dr. E. W. Bateman. Relatives present included Mrs. Doris Schlick of Charles City Iowa and Howard Taylor of Minneapolis.

Big Fork Man Escapes Death in Car Wreck
Ernest T. Walker, 73, a retired rancher from Big Fork, escaped injury when his car punctured a left rear tire, skidded 120 feet sideways and overturned along a highway five miles south of Chateau. He walked away uninjured. police noted he was not arrested and was driving within the speed limit though the vehicle overturned. A speeding ticket was issued in Magistrate James Sulgrove's court to Robert J. May of Great Falls.

Cub Scout Meeting Set For November Twenty Fourth
The Chateau Cub Scouts hold their monthly pack meeting on Monday November 24 at 7 30 p m in American Legion hall. Cubs will dress as pilgrims or Indians. Committee met at the home of Mrs Mary Schilling to plan the meeting and will meet next at Mrs Ann Hanson's home. Plans for the Christmas pack meeting were discussed. Three Have Polio as Power, Qne Succumbs
Karen Hinderager 16 months died last week in Great Falls hospital after polio diagnosis following early symptoms of encephalitis or sleeping sickness. Her two-year-old brother and five-year-old twins Teddy and Ann are hospitalized as doctors classify them as presumed polio victims. Family resides at Power Montana. Funeral services were held in Great Falls with burial at Highland Cemetery. Rev. Franklin Robbie presided.

More than 100 to 150 parents attended the American Education week open house at the grade and high schools Tuesday. Supt. R C Graham thanked attendees and noted increased parent-teacher contact helps address student needs. A future conference day with individual teachers is planned. Reverend Joseph Lantz Diés Veteran Pastor of Great Falls
Rev. Joseph Lantz 83 organized the Assembly of God church in Great Falls and served as pastor from 1917 until his retirement in 1928. He died at his home on 20th Street North after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday at Croxford’s with Rev. Charles Jackson officiating and burial followed at Highland cemetery.

Ten Helena guests and six from Great Falls attended a luncheon at the Cornell hotel banquet room before touring Mrs Laurette Davison’s home. Grace Black displayed smocks and day spreads to be sent to Shriners Hospital Spokane. Local group has sewn for Shreveport and will sew for a hospital in Salt Lake City.
