Mrs Josephine Nathan wife of Robert Nathan a Great Falls clothing merchant died early Sunday. E J Hirshberg and cousins pallbearers attended funeral services Tuesday in Great Falls. She was born February 2, 1887 in Fort Benton and survived by her son Robert Nathan Jr two sisters and her parents.

Choteau Country Club Opens 1928 Season with New Improvements
The Choteau Country Club announces the 1928 season opening Sunday June 10 with a mixed foursome. Under Greens chairman T H Pridham the course has new improvements including trees and miac bushes along seventh eighth and ninth fairways. Members are urged from Cho teau residents to join. the Montana State Golf Association event will be in Butte July 18 to 22 with local fans planning to attend.

Day patrolmen to wear uniforms in near future
Washington May 28 Prohibition agents on open highway patrol will wear uniforms in a few weeks. Commissioner Doran said the outfits would include caps and bodices. The change aims to make officers easily identifiable and curb motorists firing on them when stopped, mistaken for highwaymen.

Lions Club Improves Local Swimming Pool Improvements estimated at $100
The Lions club of this city is upgrading the southeast edge pool with a new fence surrounding a miniature lake and a water barrier to keep livestock and children safe. Dressing quarters are being cleaned repainted and renovated and the dock area is being repaired after winter storms. About $50 extra was provided by Hugh Wypper from last winter’s minstrel show funds.

120 Acres Plowed and Sowed to Wheat in One Day at Bynum

Memorial Day Observed in Choteau with Veterans Honoring Dead
Citizens gathered for a solemn Legion service at the cemetery with a color squad band firing squad and taps. Ex veterans laid wreaths, the band played America and The Star Spangled Banner, then a fellowship dinner followed. The day featured closed shops, picnics, and outdoor recreation in pleasant weather.

After a week of extreme heat with near ninety degree days, Saturday brought refreshing rains to much of the county. Local Angler Sets Season Record With 4.5-Pound Trout
As reported, Jas Eckford landed the season's largest fish to date a native trout weighing four and a half pounds and measuring 24 inches. The catch came from Beaver Dams near the Jim Peebles ranch.
