Forest Service plantings boost Sun River stream stocks
D L Beatty supervisor of the Lewis and Clark forest, Geo O Stanford reclamation service engineer, W T Thompson Bureau of Fisheries superintendent, and C H Adams grazing chief toured Sun River country. They planted 30 000 eastern brook in Beaver Creek and ordered 80 000 fry for 300 miles of streams in the Lewis and Clark forest. The Fisheries bureau and forest service aim to stock more streams this season. Mud Townsend finishes three weeks in the supervisor’s office and heads to Augusta to oversee Dearborn and Blackfoot rivers this summer.

Track team returns from Missoula with strong showings
Last Monday the track team returned from Missoula. Harold Forrest placed second in his heat for the hundred yard dash and reached the high jump final among seven. Florence Daley took second in the semi finals of the declamation contest but did not place in the finals. A short assembly reviewed meet experiences. Seniors face exams this week with some subjects exempted. Miss Pepple visited from Carson on business. A measles and pink eye outbreak is harming attendance.
