Great Northern Considers Motor Bus Service Between Great Falls and Pendroy
The Great Northern may add motor bus service for passenger express and mail on the Great Falls Pendroy run. Superintendent Fred Weir and A H Seezer met Chateau businessmen to discuss plans while keeping trains on schedule for freight. No decision has been reached and local officials voiced support if full line service remains adequate.

Harvey winner in magazine teaching methods contest
L. G. Harvey head of the history department at Teton County High School won first prize in Class A of Current Methods Magazine spring contest in Columbus Ohio. His lesson plan on current events to teach history and social studies will be printed in the fall issue.

Mrs C K Malone Dies in Everett Washington
Mrs C K Malone a native of Teton County and wife of a prominent Agawam stockman died in Everett Washington from a long standing heart condition. Born Catherine Truchot she lived in the community until five years ago moving to Everett then Kalispell Montana before returning to Everett for the deathbed. She leaves husband five children and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held in Everett with burial there Monday.

Audience at Chateau Public School applauded the comedy drama Mrs Tubbs of Shantytown. Florence Trescott led as Mrs Tubbs with a large cast including Floyd Byler Punky Dunks and Ruth Moore Queenie Sheba Tubbs. Music by the Girls Glee Club and Public School Orchestra earned praise.

Measles Cases Reported in Teton County Health Officer Says
Five cases of measles in Teton county were definitely reported by County Health Officer H. W. Bateman this week with several other suspected cases under watch. Five homes in Chateau were placarded due to illness of John Robison and four others. Additional cases traced to families of Orlo Stansberry Pendroy and families of John Lewis and M. A. Brown Pendroy.

Poppy Sale Planned by Legion Auxiliary May 28
The American Legion Auxiliary will conduct its annual poppy sale in Chateau on Friday May 28 to aid disabled World War veterans and their dependents. Poppies are 10 cents each, with donations accepted to fund welfare work for hospitalized veterans and their families.

Hodgskiss Heads Alumni Association At Teton County High
J E Hodgskiss elected president of the Alumni Association of Teton County High School during a Monday election held with the annual alumni banquet. Sixty attended at the high school dormitory where Mrs C H Davis prepared a feast for alumni, graduates, faculty, and school board members. The class play What Happened to Jones drew a crowd of no fewer than 600 as the main floor and gallery filled to the doors. Thirteen students composed the cast and the three act comedy prompted laughter and applause. The high school orchestra provided a pleasing musical program.

Sheriff Nabs Bole Manson Liquor Charge
John Jacobson, an aged blacksmith from Bole, was arrested by the sheriff last Saturday and jailed awaiting arraignment on unlawful possession of intoxicating liquor. He allegedly confessed, and was seized as he stepped from the Great Northern at Bole, with a satchel containing two gallons of moonshine.

Two County Officials Open Run For Democratic Noms
County Treasurer Otto Wagnild and Sheriff J L Collins announced plans to seek the Democratic nominations for their offices on August third. Wagnild served as county assessor in 1919 and 1920 and is in his first term as treasurer. Collins began as a peace officer in 1915 1916 and was later jailed at Chateau and elected sheriff in 1924. Other officers had not decided on re election, while Jess Gleason declined to run and Mrs Edythe Say lor resigned to teach.

Scout Executive visits. Court of Honor and camp plans
Scout Executive M. L. Crouch visited Monday. Gordon Holmes earned First class. Crouch will stay a week and help start camp at Teton on June 14. He also organized a Bynum Scout troop with Kyle Jones as Scoutmaster and Joe Lindseth assistant. A Scout committee was named. The county fund drive aims to reach 1200 with nearly 400 raised. residents urged to contribute promptly via mailed letters and checks.
