Teton County high school nears the close of its year with seniors reading themes and a three act comedy Out of Town. Graduation will occur Thursday in the auditorium with University of Montana President Craighedd as principal speaker. An alumni event Friday honors the class of 1914 as report cards are issued Friday evening.

Sham Battle Ends With Nocturnal Clash In Chateau

Co M staged a rain soaked sham battle with Red and Blue forces near the high school in Chateau. Lt Bishop and 1st Sgt Smith led Red, Capt Verge commanded Blue, both sides used blank rounds and fought into darkness until an umpire judged the action. Officials plan a daylight rematch with at least fifty participants.

Chicago Milwaukee St Paul lines to lay Chateau line timber bridges

The Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul road won a contract for all timber bridges on its Chateau line from this city. D J Burke of Lewistown leads the job with 21000 linear feet of piling and 600000 board feet of lumber. Work to start as outfits arrive. grading near Chateau nearly finished and Missouri River bridge steel nearly complete.

Exposition coins arrive for Panama exhibit fundraiser

Both Chateau banks have received exposition coins sold for one dollar each to raise funds for an exhibit at the Panama exposition in San Francisco next year. The coins are artistically designed and popular as souvenirs, with many already sold.

Fish Streams Restocked By Choteau Rod & Gun Club

The Choteau Rod & Gun Club received 210000 eastern brook trout from the state hatchery near Kalispell. About 190000 fish were placed in streams around Choteau and 20000 near Bynum, distributed within 20 minutes in the Teton river and nearby creeks. Major Baldwin and Supt. Keun led the stocking, with Maj. Baldwin promising further shipments and help in obtaining quail for distribution. The club notes the birds will aid farmers by insect control and anticipates bobwhite populations growing on local lands.
