Roosevelt Leads California Primaries and States Boast Roosevelts

Independent Company To Extend Lines
The Independent Telephone company will soon begin work to extend and improve its lines. A metallic link will connect Chateau to Conrad and provide a through metallic line to Great Falls. The Chateau to Bynum line will be rebuilt and extended to Dupuyer for direct connections, announced by district manager C. L. Anderson.

Fire Destroys Barn and Machinery at Hoovenga Ranch
A barn and valuable machinery were destroyed by fire at Dirk Hoovenga's ranch east of town yesterday forenoon. A child found matches and started the blaze while playing near the barn. A new binder, harness and other articles were lost with the structure.
