Death of Louis Kind 84 in Beck community
Louis H. Kind, 84, longtime Beck resident since 1911, died Friday at Columbus hospital in Great Falls after a brief illness. Born June 30, 1851 in Sheboygan, Wis., he lived in Minnesota as a youth, moved to Montana in 1911, and worked as a cooper, carpenter, and farmer. He leaves six living children, 26 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three brothers, and three sisters. Funeral services were held with interment at Immanuel cemetery Beck.

Choteau Hotel Sold to Great Falls Man
The Choteau historic hotel was sold yesterday to Wm. Schneider of Great Falls through Starr and Barkaloo. The new proprietor will assume charge tomorrow with plans undisclosed. Schneider has run Eagles and Box clubs in Great Falls. his father, a Great Northern engineer, will be associated in the local venture. The hotel’s origins trace back to Choteau’s pioneer days with Emma Thompson modernizing it since 1921. A connected beer parlor and dining room remain part of the property.

Chautauqua Set for July Four Weekend in Teton County
Teton county chautauqua board advances plans for a three day event at Chateau on July 22 23 and 24 featuring three one act plays and an all county chorus led by Mrs Arnold Hanusa. Camporee Set to Draw 150 Scouts to Choteau
Camporee planned in Choteau will host about 150 to 200 Boy Scouts from north central Montana. Teton county high school boys set a new class B medley relay record of 3 49.8 at the Montana Relays in Great Falls, with Jack Core John Owens Sid Yeager and Jim Moore. Chinook and Browning finished second and third. Owens ran 10.6 in a 100 yard dash heat and Moore dropped out in the mile race.
