Legion Elects Officers At Monday Meet

The American Legion in Legion hall discussed a tentative Fourth of July rodeo at Chateau pending securing corral and facilities. Augus ta residents Oral Zumwalt Joe Overman and Julius Peters will help plan with the legion sports committee. The group also honored high school chess winners Kenneth Bandow and runners up Donald Ferris Dick Bandow Wesley Beck and William Perry. The chess season wrapup credited Joseph Running for forming the club and presenting ribbons. C James Smith post elected Ted Halvorson commander Jerry Breen first vice commander Fred Meadows second vice commander Grant Curtis chaplain C D McDonald treasurer and Mrs Clair Hen.

Dutton Hosts District Legion Meeting

Three Rivers district No. 8 of the American Legion meets in Dutton on Saturday with events at 2 PM in the Legion hall and 7 PM banquet at the Catholic church parlors. Auxiliary activities, a public dance, and attendance by WWI and WWII veterans are planned, with posts from Great Falls, Dutton, Belt, Fort Benton, Chateau, Power, Augusta, and Geraldine represented.

Teton Stockmen Invited to Attend Livestock Field Day

Teton county stockmen are invited to a Livestock Field Day at the Havre branch of Le Montana Experiment Station on May 15. Attendees should meet at Chateau Courthouse at 6 AM or travel directly to Havre, with sessions starting at 10:80 AM. Dr. Clark and staff will present seeds minerals fire testing and other livestock topics and Congressman Wes ley D Ewart will discuss the national livestock situation.

Fashion Revue Delights Townspeople At High School

The Home Making department under Mrs. Clarence McNeal staged Fashion Follies in the high school auditorium. Students modeled antique to modern costumes showing fashion efforts through the years. Kinder garten pupils directed by M s Elmer Erickson performed The Other Woman Who Lives in the Shoe a lively three act show. The Friday program featured talks verse rhythm band art drawings bird paintings and an Indian pow wow with a shoe stage centerpiece and a freehand movie of drawings.
