An Episode of the World War and a Soldier’s Quiet Doubts
In a World War II era transport camp the narrator recalls a hardened officer Captain Rathbone and his young transport officer Winnie, the wedding of Winnie and Caroline, and growing distrust among lieutenants about Rathbone’s motives.
