Thirty three Choteau High School musicians will attend the State Music Festival in Great Falls Friday and Saturday, including soloists Jane Southard Toni Maltby and David Hartman and ensembles led by Gwen Gormley Susan Rathman Bobbie Lou Rice. Eight students join All-State bands choirs with director Norman Luboff at Great Falls High School auditorium Grand Concert with small admission fee.

Chateau Businesses Train Girls For Office Practice
Mary Ellen Burns leads Choteau High School students in an office practice program. Local employers including Citizens State Bank, Teton Memorial Hospital, and county offices host trainees four days a week for 80 hours, unpaid then paid a trainee stipend. The plan may add Choteau Implement Co and Teton ASCS office soon, benefiting girls gaining public contact experience.

Sportsmen to Hear Research Biologist
The May meeting of the Teton County Sportsmen's Association will be held Tuesday May 11 at 730 p.m. in the courthouse. Funeral Rites Scheduled For Richard Lyle Peyton
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 p m in the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Chateau for Richard Lyle Peyton. Banks Funeral Home handles arrangements. Peyton was found dead in a Great Falls jail cell after a DWI arrest. Coroner cites death by stoppage of blood flow to the brain with a belt and possible belt tied to bars. Surviving include widow Annabelle, daughter Patti in California, stepdaughter Patricia Buehl, brother Bob Peyton, and sister Del Smith.

Levy Election Set for May 15 in Choteau Area
A special levy election is scheduled for Saturday May 15 for Choteau Elementary and High School with polls from 12 noon to 8 pm. Ballots seek 34325.10 for Choteau High School and 49943 for Chateau Elementary School maintenance and operation.
