Track Meet Ends With Five Records At Choteau

NAAC began aircraft crop spraying in the Teton area on Tuesday three weeks ahead of last year. Warm weather drove the early schedule as pilot Dick Swift treated fields near Bole and Great Falls. A new NAAC pilot Don Doyle from Missoula joined the staff this week.

Former Resident Halladay Dies in California at 85
Annabelle Halladay, 85, formerly of Choteau, long time Bellflower resident, died at a Long Beach hospital. Born in Indiana, she ran a store near Choteau during World War I, moved to Torrance in the early 1920s, then Bellflower in 1926. Survived by daughter Hazel Pettigrew, grandsons Bert and Bertram Fox, and three great grandchildren. Services held at Gallaugher & Young Mortuary Bellflower with Rev. Harry E. Bird, entombment Angeles Abbey Mausoleum.

Wreck Near Fairfield Injures Three Choteau Women
Three Choteau women were hospitalized after a serious car crash southeast of Fairfield at 7 10 p m. The vehicle headed from Great Falls to Chateau veered into a ditch after being struck by a possible bird on the windshield. Mrs. Hansen 76 suffered a fractured arm head bruises and shock while Mrs. Hansen younger dislocated shoulder and facial injuries and Mrs. Edwards twisted ankle and bruises. The 8 year old Donald Hansen was uninjured. The accident remains under investigation by the Montana highway patrol.
