A large cast performs the senior class play Stop Thief at the high school auditorium next Tuesday evening May 6. Miss Cleo Buck directs the farcical work by Carlyle Moore known as a light entertainment. The play is edited by Samuel French and listed as approved for high schools.

Fudge in Salt Lake City and meet strict specifications including age 4 to 8, geldings, height 15 to 16 1/2 hands, weight 1000 to 1250 pounds, solid color, well temperate, sound and well bred. Prices range from 125 to 200 dollars based on individual quality.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Methodist church for Mrs. George Sabados who died April 23 at Chateau hospital after a six month cancer illness. Relatives and friends from Lewistown Helena Zurich East Helena Manhattan Charlo Ronan attended, with a list of survivors noted.

The Teton County high school band will stage its annual spring concert Thursday May 8 at 8 15 in the high school auditorium. A Havre Music Festival performance follows May 10 with several novelty and descriptive pieces and a surprise number. Scenes From the Sierras overture highlights the program as Patty Strom plays saxophone and a Missoula trip quintet performs. Directed by Irshal Davis and Peggy Knotts the band includes Anne Luinstra Connie Dellwo and Jean Smith baton demonstrations by the student directors.
Mrs A J Nutter, Red Cross chair, urges clothing for children six months to five years old. American Red Cross funds reach Britain via the Women's Volunteer Service which can use ten garments for 200000 children. Similar needs exist in unoccupied France. Teeton county women urged to sew and knit, quota due May 31. Mrs Ada Hutchinson has yarn to knit.
A club directed by Mrs. William Schneider volunteers to mend damaged library books several days weekly. Four new titles join the collection including The Family, Trees, Brazilian Adventure, and Next to Valour. Bookmobile features Trelawney, a vivid biography of a famed adventurer.
Twelve Teton County schools present a music festival at the high school auditorium Saturday May 3 at 2 pm. Sponsored by County Superintendent Mrs Inez Eckford with school cooperation and free admission. Readings include junior bands choirs and orchestras from Choteau Beck Plainview Fairfield Bynum Greenfield Dutton and more with pieces such as Maybell Little Rastus The Cab at Choteau and Finlandia.
W H Wellenstein, chair of the Teton County Agricultural Conservation association, notes the U S wheat carryover stands at 380 million bushels with a large crop soon to harvest. He argues marketing quotas and acreage allotments protect incomes, soil, and reserves amid global surpluses and a two year domestic supply. The ever normal granary demonstrates farm program flexibility for surpluses and shortages alike.
The music and literature group will hold its final meeting of the year at Mrs. R E Nelson’s home on Wednesday evening. Miss Ellingson will give a book review and Patricia will perform a play. Mrs Burns is chairman and several collections will be taken.
