Lions club members and wives filled the hall for the regular meeting to host District Governor Wm. Jameson who spoke on Lionism. Gifts were presented to retiring members Wm. Gaffney and D. M. A Triple A ruling lets farmers pasture or harvest volunteer wheat while earning conservation and parity payments within their acreage allotments. Slim Reeser War Vet Dies in Sheep Ranch Fire
Claude Daniel Reeser 48 a resident here for over six years was found burned to death in an out house at the Louis Hamilton sheep ranch twelve miles west of town early Sunday. A disabled war veteran with a nervous condition he may have overturned a lantern during a seizure, starting the blaze. Survivors include a brother and sister in California. Relatives attended last rites from Calgary and Markerville, Alberta, with services by the local American Legion Post.

Authorized by Congress in 1862 and adopted in 1904 the medal features a bronze five point star with Minerva center a green laurel wreath and an eagle surmounting a bar inscribed Valor.
