Festival Musicians to Attend Fort Benton Meet

About 180 Choteau high school musicians will participate in the district music meet in Fort Benton Friday and Saturday. Solo and ensemble groups will perform Friday and a larger group Saturday. Choteau will present three piano solos, three vocal solos, two vocal ensembles, a brass ensemble, and two clarinet ensembles.

Theodore Caufield 74 died after a fall last Saturday at a Great Falls hospital. Funeral held yesterday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Roland Peters officiating. Farmers have six days to sign for feed grain programs

About 300 Teton county farmers must file intentions to participate in feed grain and wheat stabilization programs by March 30 to be eligible for price support. They must meet wheat allotments, divert acreage to soil conserving uses, and keep soil-conserving acreage averages from 1959 and 1960, says Lyall Schaefer ASCS committee chairman. County ASCS office hours are weekdays 8 to 12 and 1 to 5, and producers are urged to visit.

Duits Dies at Fort Harrison Vet Hospital

Hie Duits, 75, died Sunday at Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital. Services were held this afternoon in Banks Chapel with Rev. A Bernard Gravdal officiating. Duits served in the army in World War I and was a charter member of local veterans groups. He is survived by a daughter, three grandchildren, four sisters, and a brother. Burial will be in the family plot at Choteau Cemetery.

Help in Help Two mss of the Lions Club swim team held a meeting to organize volunteers for the April 7 pool day project. Fifty team members will assist with posters handbills and other tasks. Nick Vlinker of Chateau received the grand champion Hereford Bull trophy at the 49th annual bull show and sale of the North Montana Hereford Breeders Association held at the State Fair grounds in Great Falls. Vet Joins Practice With Jim Howard at Chateau

Dr. Bill Patton has joined Dr. James Howard in a veterinary practice in Chateau. He earned a 1959 veterinary degree from Kansas State, practiced in Livingston for a year, and served in the U S Air Force at Schilling Air Force Base Kansas.
