Mrs Chas S McDonald arrived in Choteau after about two months in Canisteo New York due to her sister Eunice Goffs death. She reports the harsh eastern winter while noting balmy springlike weather in Great Falls and recalls Mrs Goff a longtime Canisteo matron aged 79 who visited Choteau on occasion.

79 Teton Men Take Army Physical in Butte
Selective Service lists 79 Teton county men who traveled to Butte on February 26 for Army physicals. Eighteen earlier-passers were slated to depart March 16 for induction, but a postponement has halted departures with no new date set. Extensive Improvements Planned For Local High School
The Teton County High School, built in 1919 1920, will be repaired this summer after classes end. Corwin Engineering Co plans foundation reinforcement and a new roof to stop settling and cracks. Rewiring for larger lights and heating upgrades are planned along with steel lockers if supply allows. The girls shower room has been enlarged with new floor drains and improved plumbing to prevent water under the foundation.

Grade Schools to Stage Spring Music Festival April Twenty seventh
Miss Esther Groger, grade school music supervisor, announced the county wide festival to be held Friday April 27 in the Teton High auditorium at Choteau. At least five schools will participate including Chotes, Golden Ridge, Power, Fairfield and Greenfield. A chorus of 150 to 200 voices will feature numerous duets and individual numbers.
