Former Druggist Otis Mellon Dies After Illness
Otis Mellon, 86, longtime Chateau druggist, died at a Great Falls hospital after several months of illness. Funeral services set for 2:30 p.m. Friday at Croxford mortuary in Great Falls with Rev. Paul W. Dierberger officiating. Burial in Great Falls mausoleum. Mellon operated a drug business at Chateau in 1916, retired in 1945, and later lived with his son Russell in Great Falls. He was born October 8, 1859 in Missouri and previously taught in the government Indian service in Oklahoma and Washington. He is survived by Russell, another son Harry of Kansas City, a daughter, a brother, and a sister, with services conducted by Choteau Lodge No. 44 A.F. & A.M.

Savik and Larson of Bynum won with Teton B. Mischief 28th as grand champion at the 16th annual two year old bull show in Great Falls. W L Morgan of Fairfield took third. over 70 entries were judged by Don Warren and R H Rolston as bulls from across the state competed at the Great Falls fairgrounds. The grand champ led 15 high placers to an auction sale after judging, with association officials noting top quality.

Bulldogs Take Third in Eight-Team Divisional Meet
The Teton Bulldogs returned from divisional tournament play with a third place trophy. They beat Fort Benton 45-40 in the final rounds after opening with a 45-33 win over Conrad. They lost 48-34 to Chinook in the semifinals, then topped Big Sandy 50-37 to reach the final night against Fort Benton. Shelby won the championship and earned a spot in the state playoffs at Bozeman March 21-23.

Local Merchants Rally To Send Bulldogs To State Finals
