The Chateau city council approved two ordinances and two resolutions at the regular meeting led by Mayor George Coffey. Boulevards defined as the area between curb and property lines. prohibitions on planting or obstructing and on damaging trees with penalties up to 100 dollars and 30 days. Water flow supervision assigned to the city water superintendent under the second ordinance.

Bitter Root Master Piebe a purebred two year old bull was added to I. B. Hardy's herd on March 2. The animal comes from the David Lea herd in Stevensville. Hardy notes Valentine the Portland show cow of 1928 29 descended from the Sea herd. Piebe's sire has five registry daughters producing 696 938 pounds of butter yearly at age three. His grandsire King Pitcherje Ormsby Piebe sired many show winners with 58 registry daughters. The seven nearest dams average 797 pounds butter per year with milk test of 3.9. Grand dam was a world record cow in 1927 with 1130.91 pounds butter per year at age 15. great grand-dam in 1925 set a 1389.45 pound world record for four year olds.

Forest work for year up for consideration

National farm loan association officers are urged by the Federal Land Bank of Spokane to study Congress changes that add 125 million dollars to capital and allow time extensions.
