Cheetham, 75, a retired farmer, died at Teton Memorial Hospital Monday night. He married Beulah of Williamsburg, Ohio. Survived by sister R. Cc. Smith of Bellingham and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Friday March 9 at 2 p.m. in Dutton Methodist Church with Rev. Theodore Cox officiating.

Five Chateau High School girls will represent their FHA chapter at the state FHA convention in Billings March 15 to 17 on the Eastern Montana College campus. Ram Advances Shelters Plans for Community Civil Defense
A Tuesday night meeting announced Teton County commissioners approved use of county equipment for excavation if communities want shelters. Feair field director Al Komarek and several others were named. more directors are sought. An investigation into community shelters continues as Hutterite root cellars are considered adequate with improvements. Estimated shelter costs range from 1300 to 325 dollars per person, with a 400 person capacity for 4000 square feet. A communications section is forming and a meeting is set for March 14 at 8 p.m. in Chateau Fire Hall.

Jury Rules For Defendants In $55,100 Injury Suit
A Teton county jury in district court Friday night found for the defendants Fred and Evelyn L. Ritzschke and Paul and Thelma Lee in a $55,100 personal injury case filed by Mrs. Margaret Shaver. The Aragon building in Fairfield owned by the Ritzschkes collapsed after a fall in its vestibule in 1960, where the Lees operated a cafe. The jury returned a 10-2 verdict in favor of the defendants after a five day trial that began Feb. 26. Lawyers included Cure and Borer for the defense and Woodahl for the county. other cases on the docket included a debt suit and upcoming DWI trials.

Death of Victor Steele in Lewistown
Victor Steele died at St Josephs Hospital in Lewistown. He was born December 11, 1891, in Choteau, son of Ewing Steele, a stage driver. Services were held at Lewistown Christian Church with burial in Lewistown City Cemetery. he moved from Choteau to Helena about 250 years ago and to Lewistown in 1961.

Red Cross Budget Drive Aims To Meet 1962 Target
Red Cross workers plan to raise funds for Teton County in March 1962 as the county once again aims to meet its budget. Past years show 67.5 percent collection in 1961 and 95 percent in 1960. 51 percent of collected money stays for county programs. The drive also supports blood services and training in first aid swimming water safety and home nursing at Memorial Hospital.
