Montana Ranchers Buy Champion Bull at Denver Sale

Anton Lovfald of Belgrade Montana and Bryan Corbett and Sons of Chateau joined to pay 12 200 for a bull consigned to the fourth annual All American Angus Bull Show and Sale at the Denver Stockyards. They bought Quick Heckettier 132nd calved May 28 1959 from He kmers Highlands Valencia Pennsylvania. Fifty Angus bulls sold on the first day at an average of 2000 per head while 350 Angus bulls are entered in the event.

Ernest Weist of Chateau won the grand championship with a Hereford heifer at the eighth annual Montana Polled Hereford Association show at the state fairgrounds in Great Falls. Weist’s champion heifer sold to Oliver L. Forseth of Fairfield for 535 dollars.

Women's Bowling Tourney Opens This Saturday At A and E Lanes

The annual women’s handicap bowling tournament begins Saturday at A and E Lanes and runs for two weekends.
