Boxing Team Sees Gruesome Wreck Near Glasgow

Choteau boxing team and manager Stan Brown were among first on scene last Thursday at Wiota Hill east of Glasgow. Four killed including three men in a car, reportedly under the influence of liquor, as they tried to pass a slower vehicle on a hill. Brown cited liquor sales on Indian reservations and Wolf Point police staffing amid rising accidents.

Hollo of Pairfield, former Rocky Mountain Conference player for Montana State, was selected to the all-star team after the 8th Army basketball tournament in Seoul. He played for the 17th Infantry Regimental team, which finished second in the division league, and scored 8 1 points across three games in the tournament.

Grade School to Close for Reading Conference

Patrolman Henry Helf of this city reports three arrests on DWI in recent days. Pat McGrath of Great Falls paid a 250 dollar fine in a justice court after nearly colliding with Helf north of that city. Annual Style Show Set for March 16th

Fire Destroys Grease Shed Near Chateau

A grease shed at the Bob Swartzel property west of Chateau burned Friday night during a Moore versus Power basketball game. Several youngsters spotted the fire, alerted authorities, and two fire trucks battled the stubborn blaze. The shed was destroyed and valued at about $1,200, with firefighters preventing spread to nearby structures.
