Choteau Mercantile Co Announces Short-Term Closure

The store will close for the first three days of next week Monday through Wednesday for inventory. Patrons are urged to stock up Saturday and the firm has arranged a temporary assignment to creditors to avoid pressure while collecting accounts. Despite the notice, the store will operate normally and staff urge support to keep the business running in Tet on County.

Dr. B E B Maynard's Ford driven by Kenneth Pike with Miss Ernestine Maynard and Carroll Maynard turned over on a gravel highway near Chateau sun day afternoon. Miss Maynard and Pike were thrown clear. Carroll Maynard pinned beneath but not seriously hurt. The trio helped each other to upright the car. Maynard suffered strains and bruises while Carroll Maynard had an injured hip.
