Teachers Examination Held In Three Montana Towns
The February teachers certificate exam occurred Friday and Saturday in Choteau Dupuyer and Conrad with G E B Hutt and Mrs Hopper in charge at the last two places. Four applicants were from Choteau and two from Dupuyer. Great Falls sent two question sets and Dillon one. Conrad scripts are pending and total count unknown. Grading shows more successful applicants than usual with three first grade and one second grade certificates issued so far. third grade total pending.

Creamery Sees Rising Business and Strong Prospects
The Golden Red creamery produced 480 pounds of butter in a single run last week and reports steadily increasing business. New patrons join quickly from the valley north of town and areas reaching Burton beach, Bynum country, and toward Belleview and Saypo. Large Ranch Sale Near Chateau Transfers to Iowa Capitalists
A 5000 acre W F Scott holdings ranch northwest of Chateau sold February 24 to an Iowa capitalist group. Land value listed at 19.00 per acre, a substantial rise from Scott’s 12.50 purchase last year. The property includes Teton running through its length, alfalfa and native hay, good winter range, and fine beach land south of the valley. Scott will hold possession until May 1 and stock not included in sale will be sold privately. The Chateau Land and Loan company organized the deal as its first venture.
