6 500 Ft Sew er Line Completed in Hobson Swenson Additions
The city announced the completion of a 6500 foot sewer line in the Hobson and Swenson additions on the east side. Construction by Abercrombie Construction started March 26 and finished recently, costing about 18000 dollars funded by a 10 year special assessment on property owners. The line connects the south and north city lines, draining sewage into the lagoon.

Day camp for Brownie and Girl Scouts opens next Tuesday June 26 at 9 30 a m in City Park Chateau. It runs three days from 9 30 a m to 4 p m with activities like singing games hikes crafts stories camp fire building cooking and nature study supervised by adult directors and senior Girl Scouts. The $1 fee covers all three days and signed injury waivers are required. Parents provide transportation and sack lunches while the Chateau Girl Scout Association sponsors the camp.

Funeral Rites Set for Quenemoen in Dutton Church
Funeral services for Ludwig Quenemoen 78 a retired Dutton farmer who died Tuesday after a two week illness will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Dutton Lutheran church with Rev L H Swantz officiating. Burial will follow in Dutton cemetery. Quenemoen born January 30 1878 at Dawson Minnesota homesteaded at Collins in 1910 later moved to Dutton he never married. Auto Collision Kills Two Men Friday Night
Two men died in a head on crash at the Dutton east city limits Friday night. A. E. Gaines of Conrad and Sam Halbrook of Missouri perished in the same car that collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Jack Wiprud of Great Falls. Passenger injuries included Mrs. Kathryn Gaines and Mrs. Halbrook with fractures. Wiprud received minor injuries and was treated and released. Halbrook's body was sent to Missouri.

Two Special Events Set For All Growers in Area

Price Support Rate For County Wheat Set At 1.80
Teton county will set the 1956 price support for wheat at 1.80 per bushel. Chairman C. B. Turnbull of the county A S C C committee announced. The rate applies to US No 1 hard red winter and hard red spring wheats and is tied to the national average support price of 2.00 per bushel. For 1955 the county rate was 1.89 per bushel based on a national average of 2.08.

Funeral services for Joseph E Walkington were conducted at the Methodist church at 2 pm last Friday by Rev Grant S Moore. He lived in Teton county since 1912 and near Chateau, married Jessie Walker in 1912. He retired in 1942 and was interred in Sioux Falls beside his wife, with 11 nieces and nephews surviving. one niece, Margaret Mohr of Spokane, attended the funeral.

Rancher dies in bridge crash on U S Highway 89
Du puyer area rancher John Pfieffer Jr aged 49 was killed when his car left a bridge on U S Highway 89 north of Dupuyer. The car struck the bridge and bank, then plunged 60 feet into Sheep Creek. He was alone and was en route to his ranch. Two witnesses from Valier saw the crash and parts of the bridge hit their car. Pfieffer leaves two daughters aged 12 and 14. He was the 101st traffic death in Montana that year.
